Piper

Piper began dancing locally, at age 7, continuing on through her school and competitive team. She enjoyed dancing in the Sacramento Ballet’s production of the Nutcracker growing up and has trained in Ballet, Pointe, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, contemporary, tap, modern, acro, and musical theatre. Piper later studied dance at Cal State Fullerton and is versed in Classical Ballet, Cecchetti and Balanchine technique. She has taught at various studios in the L.A. and surrounding Sacramento areas and dances professionally with RAE Model and Talent Agency. Piper is extremely proud and excited to be an integral part of Première School of Dance.

Ty

Tyler is your all-around entertainer. Born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey, Tyler has trained and performed with many of the top schools in the Tristate area. Early on, he was a part of Michelle Obama’s Move Your Body Campaign which traveled to different schools to promote healthy eating habits. In 2019, Ty signed with Bloc talent agency, where he was able to book a multitude of major commercial gigs. Throughout the years, he has been a part of two different Grammy Award shows, performances alongside H.E.R., Lil NAS X, and Jack Harlow; 2 American Music Awards shows alongside Giveon, Cardi B, and sang background for Stevie Wonder. Tyler was also a part of the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show with Dr Dre, Snoop, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J Blige, and 50 Cent. Tyler was also an instructor at Arthur Murray, in basic/intermediate ballroom. He taught Waltz, Foxtrot, Hustle, Swing, East Coast Swing, Tango, Rumba, Salsa, Bachata, Cha Cha, and Merengue. Ty has always had a passion for dancing and teaching and can't wait to instruct the next generation at Première.

Claire

Claire grew up in Sacramento, where she trained for 15 years. She focused on ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, lyrical, and contemporary. Furthering her studies, Claire attended Santa Clara University and received a BA in Theatre Arts with a Dance Emphasis and a BS in Biology. In college she explored modern dance, vocal instruction, and choreography. In the future, Claire hopes to weave together her dance and biology majors by pursuing dance medicine and a degree in physical therapy. Claire is extremely excited to join the Première family this year!

Anthony 

Anthony Ward.jpg

Anthony discovered his passion for dance at 5 years old watching the youth dancers at the Sacramento Kings game. Officially getting into the studio at age 10, he spent 4 years performing in the same group that inspired him before exploring a new experience as a part of his high school dance team. After graduating, he spent a couple of years traveling and developing his craft, before returning to Sacramento and officially teaching his own classes, starting in 2019. He is excited to explore his more creative side of choreography art with the students at Premiere. His favorite styles are Jazz Funk, Contemporary, and Hip Hop.

Addison

Addison started dancing when she was 7. She officially joined a studio when she was 11 and immediately fell in love contemporary and hiphop. When she started ballet, it became her passion. Addison is experienced in jazz, hip hop, contemporary, Ballet and Pointe. Her goal is to be to be part of San Diego State University Dance Team and she would like to keep dancing as much as possible, while teaching at Première.

Mikiah

Mikiah has been dancing in companies since the age of 9. He has experience in Tap, Jazz, HipHop, Musical Theatre, Ballet, and Contemporary. He has performed in multiple Plays and Musicals, such as Lion King and The Polar Express. He is currently studying at Folsom Lake College earning his AA in dance, as an aspiring professional dancer and in a few years will continue his education by majoring in dance. at the University level. He loves to dance and to teach those willing to learn.

Emalee

With a passion for dance ignited at the age of 8 in local Sacramento studios, Emalee embraced the art of dance through high school, where she joined the dance team and was chosen to be a team captain in her final year. She continued to dance recreationally and taught at a local studio throughout college while obtaining her B.S in Public Health. Emalee's dance journey has been steeped in the disciplines of jazz, ballet, contemporary, tap, musical theatre and Pom. She is thrilled to bring that wealth of experience to guide the talented Performing Team dancers, as the team director!

Laura

Laura has been dancing since age four. She is trained in all styles, including ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, and contemporary, with a dance minor from Santa Clara University. After college, Laura danced for the Golden State Warriors, followed by professional theater roles in No No Nanette, Singin’ In The Rain, and Cesar and Ruben. She also performed with a pro tap company in San Jose and trained with legendary dancers like Gregory Hines and Gracey Tune. Recently, Laura coached numerous competition teams to regional and national awards. Laura is really excited to tap with Premiere students.

Angela

Angela has been dancing since the age of 10. She spent more than seven years at local Sacramento dance studios. She has training in a variety of styles, including ballet, acro, jazz, and contemporary. She is currently taking college courses, majoring in both business and dance with the intention of one day opening her own dance studio. She can’t wait to teach what she loves.

Laura

Laura began her dance journey in the heart of Sacramento, CA at the tender age of ten at Broadway Academy of the Performing Arts. Her devotion to movement led her to attain a BFA in Dance from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA, and upon graduating she relocated to the dance mecca of the world, New York, where she lived and breathed modern dance. With an unquenchable ardor for dance fueling her every step, Laura has ventured into a diverse array of styles and techniques throughout the years. From the grace of classical Ballet and the innovation of Modern dance to the pulsating rhythms of Brazilian Samba and the body-to-body free flow of Contact Improvisation, her exploration knows no bounds. Performing and traveling to numerous theaters, festivals, and events has provided fulfillment of her lifelong dancer's dream. Now with a sense of rekindled enthusiasm for the role of her early training, Laura is thrilled to reconnect with her local dance community through teaching. She hopes to weave her wealth of experiences into an inspiring tapestry for all her students at any stage of their dance development.

Arya

Arya has been dancing since the age of 4. She has dabbled in all types of dance, such as ballet, contemporary, tap, jazz, jazz-funk, hip hop, and modern. She has been teacher assisting and subbing classes for the last couple seasons, at Premiere. Her favorite type of dance is tap and she is excited and enthusiastic about teaching the young tap dancers.
